Staying up Late to Watch This Race   Share

30 September 2010

One of the big complaints about West Coast sports is that the games seem to go all night.  I’m sure the Braves are staying up for these games, though.  The first place San Francisco Giants held on to win a dramatic 3-1 game that finished just before 1 AM ET.  Their stud, Tim Lincecum pitched well into the game and picked up the win.

Also late (on the East Coast), the Padres finished off the Cubs 3-0 to remain 2 games behind the Giants in the NL West.  The Braves won earlier and maintain their 2 game lead in the Wild Card hunt.  If the music stopped today, the Padres would be without a chair, even though they led the division for most of the season.
